MDB NEWS
NEW WORKSPACE
Due to the increase in demand of remote controlled machines, such as Green Climber, Specialty Machines, as well as MDB's product line of machines used in the petrochemical industry, we have enlarged our factory to accomodate for roughly double the amount of our previous work force.
Above is a recent photograph taken that shows the new building annexed to the north section. You can compare it to a previous photograph posted on our About Us page.
You may notice that we have expanded our solar systems on the roof and plan to add to it even further on the new area, to stay as light as possible on the local electricity grid and to reduce our carbon footprint significantly.
The additional space will accomodate enough space to produce, store, and maintain more MDB machines. At the same time the new facility offers more space to think about new inventions and projects, such as the electrification of our remote controlled slope mulchers and other Specialty Machines.
Automated Stock-Keeping
We have expanded our automated stock robots from MODULA Lift that keep part of our supplies stored vertically to save space and to make it easier to find items on the fly.
MACHINE UPDATES
GREEN CLIMBER
This year we have received much feedback regarding our machines and - together with our engineers - we have developed effective solutions that make our Green Climber line more durable and resistant.
All of the following updates can be retrofitted and ordered through our Spare Parts Portal (iSP)
Rollers & Wheels
One much requested solution is the improvement to the rollers which are mounted on the LV 400 X, LV 500 PRO, LV 600 PRO, and the LV 800 PRO.
This means that the rollers/wheels, which includes the front wheel, the back wheel, and the bottom rollers, are all manufactured with a new process that makes them much more resistant and durable.
Prefilter Upgrade
The profiler on the hood of the LV 400 X has been reinforced to make stronger against hits and blows while performing forestry work or other tasks that may challenge the hold of the prefilter.
This update is also retrofittable and will roll out for the LV 500 PRO, LV 600 PRO, and the LV 800 PRO.
Engine Vibration damping upgrade
We have a new reinforced engine vibration damper (as seen in picture below) that will prolong the engine’s lives substantially.
Cutting Utensil Update
We have expanded our range of utensils that will be available to all those using TE130, TE130 PLUS, TE160, and TE160 PLUS.
Those utensils will be, among others, reinforced heavy knives as well as reinforced heavy hammers.
These will offer a more powerful cut, while extending the lifetime of the knives and hammers.
TE 160
Haven’t heard of the above mentioned TE 160 before? Yes, we have released a wider grass-cutting-accessory that will reduce work time and the passes needed to finish a set piece of land, whether those are grasslands, marshlands, wetlands, or other difficult to access terrain.
TF
TF series has been expanded with 3 new models: TF 125, TF 130 and TF 150 with bite limiter rotors. The advantages of bite limiter rotors are to keep the Green Climber machines cutting at a consistent speed, to reduce stall risk, and to obtain finer shredded mulch. These flail mulchers are compatible with the Green Climber LV 400X, LV500 PRO, LV 600 PRO and LV 800 PRO.
Wheel Bearings LV 600 PLUS
The much loved LV 600 PLUS will get a much stronger wheel bearing system both in front and back wheels. To see a procedure on how to mount it, click here. We have created a video and other useful resources to better understand the procedure. We are confident that this upgrade will bring a big improvement to all owners of LV 600 PLUS.
SPECIALTY MACHINES
Pocketbucket
The Pocketbucket has received some useful experience around the globe with use cases ranging from mining sites to rescue operations.
We have seen a substantial improvement through a small modification of the front of the arm, by reinforcing the endpoints as seen below.
